My "History of Guns and Violence", work focuses on guns and crime in society, using information gathered from pro-gun control books as well as magazines such as Soldier of Fortune and Guns & Ammo. This information is applied to trophies and plaques to illustrate how glorifying guns and resisting change is damaging to our social structure. The work represents an abbreviated history of guns and how they have gone from defending our frontiers to killing our loved ones. This work deals with the use of guns as instruments of psychological empowerment, accidental death, suicide and as a convenient (but deadly) remedy for minor squabbles. My work is drawn from personal experience, research and from living within a violent culture.
