Large clouds of HCN are widely distributed throughout space. HCN pentamerizes to adenine. Is there any work to show that the guanine and the pyrimidines could have been formed
by hydrolysis? I am looking at that problem now from a theoretical viewpoint. Is anyone checking empirically?
